Now entering Summer weekend
- D’Orient, a contemporary dance based on African and Middle Eastern themes performed by a Belgian dance ensemble.
- The artist formerly known as The Dade County Youth Fair.
- The Sunshine State Smackdown, a roller skating thing.
- Looks interesting The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore, tho the Edge Theater doesn’t have a website and the Theater League’s listings don’t have individual pages (?!) but find it buried on this page.
- Listen to me people, I’ve seen it (a previous production last year), and there is nothing more vile then Forbidden Broadway.
- Dude, cool flyers. Beets having to make a website.
- I know you were exited about getting in one more Kraftworks before Stephanie sells Rag Trade, but sorry it’s been canceled.
- Miami Dolphins Cheerleader tryouts. I think this website, but I got impatient and clicked on before anything loaded really.
- Like, a closing reception for the shows ad Dorsch, which I’ll probably be at because I still haven’t really gotten a chance to see the show, dammit.
- The work of John M. Synge
- The Punk Rock Primary at Studio A, which is $5 for under 21, free for above. More things should be priced like this. Take 50, subtract your age, and that’s your admission cost. Or better yet, staggered admissions with commensurate drink minimums. I’d get in free everywhere. Too bad I can’t stand listening to kids try to play punk.

caribou /// fuck buttons at the culture room in fort lauderdale this saturday night!
yes but Duran gets pissed off when i mention anything about ft lauderdale. he’s all “what I’m supposed to drive to ft fucking lauderedale?” and then i have to be like “sorry, no, i know it’s probably a waste of time” and shit. i mean, i think dude lives in the gables or something, so i kind of sympathize. hell, there have been a bunch of great shows at revolution since it opened, and i haven’t even bothered to go there yet. you know.
MAP magazine issue party at the White Room Saturday. Anyone know anything about this, and whether it will be worthwhile, and for whom?
Yeah fricken lawyer, free drinks before midnight and Rachel Goodrich is playing somewhere between 10-12.

cariiiiibouuuuu!
Nothing more vile than Forbidden Broadway?
Bitch, please.
You’re talking about the BIGGEST HIT Miami has seen in years.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Moron.
God. Even the radio advert makes me shudder. “Caaaaaaan you feeeeeeeel the paaaaaiiiiiin toooonight?”
Yes, I can. It’s so painful I have to change the friggin station. Or pop in a CD.
Just thinking about it makes me cringe. But by all means, be my guest.
P.S. Master of what?
Lol.. I have to agree, Forbidden Broadway is only a hit because it, in my opinion, attracts a moronic crowed. I saw it, hated it, want my money and time back!
Yay, you mentioned the Smackdown!!! South Florida’s first roller derby event in over 30 years!! (Or so says our promotional material, anyway – I make no claims as to the veracity of that statement.) It’s in Fort Lauderdale, but only barely – you can walk to the southern border of the city from the rink.
