Not good: Lake Okeechobee continues to set records for low water levels. Expect to see even stricter water restrictions next year.

Alesh – my mother-in-law has a property in Lake Okeechobee and not long realized that one of the locks had remained open by mistake. No one had noticed that there was something wrong with the mechanism.

It took a call from her husband to the authorities to get the problem fixed – the amount of water lost due to that single insignificant repair is ridiculous. Makes you wonder how efficient the OL system is.
