Exactly wrong: Miami Dade commissioners are considering raising public transportation rates. Just as they’re cutting routes. And just they should be doing the exact opposite. Also: cut property taxes and raise transit fees = more taxes for the poor, fewer for the rich. Nice work, folks. Update: The Herald agrees.

    i commute on metro- and tri-rail five days a week. while i wouldn’t be opposed to a slight hike, 33% is quite steep being that they are considering CUTTING routes and trains by nearly 60%!!! living in south florida is losing its luster for me. i suggest all you beautiful women hop on the train and head back to ny with me!

    Everything out politicians and regulators do is flawed… EVERYTHING!

    That’s the crasiest thing I’ve heard in weeks. Why would they do that? They need to increase the routes and coverage, improve security and maintenance, and extend the rail to Florida City. It’s SoFla. shrug What can ya do? Idiots.
