The rumor on the internets and on talk radio is that Chris Matthews has been suffering from a bit of an alcohol problem. This could explain his whackier than usual behavior.
I ran into Chris Matthews at work many times, and all I can say is that the guy never bothered to clean the dribble from the corner of his mouth. Drools like an infant. Even on the air. Cute wife, though.
