Great documentary about the sugar industry. Stuff about Florida is mixed in throughout, though the fucked up Haiti/Dominican Republic situation steals the show. Update: The link is fixed.

Great documentary, thanks for fixing the link. Sugar(cane) has always been the root of deep-seated hate between Dominicans and Haitians – more appropriately, the Have Not’s and the Have Less. Haitian workers taking jobs away from Dominicans at cheaper wages was the main reason the country allowed Trujillo to commit mass genocide in 1937. Truly tragic.
