DWNTWN MIAMI

The Herald and others are making a big deal out of the stupid new logo for “rebranding downtown.” Don’t worry people: we’re almost never going to see this. It’ll appear on printed pieces here and there, usually very small, and it’s safe to ignore. Fun to see the choices they had, though. See also: the hated London Olypics logo and why it’s good: 1, 2. Update: Fraud on the Herald’s poll. Talk about embarrassment.

Personally, I don’t love any of the choices, however, this one is definitely NOT at the top from what they had to choose from. This one is kind of bland, boring and only stresses the illiteracy of this town. lol.

I agree. I don’t like it much, but the alternatives weren’t at all eye catching.

FWIW, I like #16 the best. If they were cool they’d use them all interchangeably.

We’re a visually savvy town — we can handle it!!
