Miami Beach is preparing to import sand from other countries to replenish the beach, especially if the hurricane season is a bad one.
most of the sand already on our beaches isn’t natural. a lot of it is pumped from the bottom of the ocean. i’ve seen some of the pumps down off of cat cay, bahamas.
