- Major buzz about the Wahoo World Music Festival in Big Cypress.
- “Colored girls shouldn’t waste their time on education.” M-Ensemble’s Steal Away.
- CubaNostalgia.

- Some sort of “festival” of events for kids.
- Tonight, Cuba Libre Block Party.
- Prayers for Saints and Orishas, photos of religious ceremonies in Cuba plus Ife-Ile dance/music — what’s not to love?
- Spam All-Stars record release party at Studio A.
- Oh, and Miami Nights is hosting Adam Freeland at Shine.
- Saturday, excuse me, but can somebody please tll me who Arden Kaywin is?
- Tigertail’s fundraiser, WigOut.
- Zombie Prom at PS14 (where else, actually?).
- Sunday, A bunch of people will be gathering and flying kites in Bicentennial Park, I think a sort-of protest, but if anyone has more info let me know!
- Hey ladies! — Anderson Cooper at Books and Books.
- The Miami meditation meetup, 4 pm.
- Oh, have a chuckle: head over to the Miami Herald’s entertainment page and click The Ticket. This link has variously been going back to the Herald’s home page, or to an error message, all morning. They also had a “McCoy Tyner Tonight” headline exactly one week after his concert. wtf?
