“Homosexuals are going to hell.” Annoying people on Ocean Drive. Note how this gets stranger and stranger as it goes.

Yeah, well, I could only make it through a minute and a half so I’ll just take your word for it.

It’s like the SoBe version of Hyde Park Speakers’ Corner.

I want to know what their actual conversion rate is. Does that type of street preaching work?

    Strange.

We get this up at UF too, however, here students start debating with the preachers…Sometimes it escalates to a point where the cops are called out…Makes for some good entertainment between classes but, generally these people are regarded as an annoyance by the student body…

Not too long ago the afore mentioned UF preachers started yelling at Hare Krishna who were selling cheap vegetarian meals on campus. The confrontation made the front page of the Alligator and readers were still writing in comments weeks later. What confuses me about these preachers is that they usually focus more on accusing sinners rather than trying to save them. I’ve had several other preachers approach me politely while on campus to talk about Jesus and when I’m in a good mood and have time to kill I have a chat with them. But the obnoxious preachers who stand on their soapboxes while yelling at sinners ruin it for the other preachers who then come off as crazy. On a side note, imagine what kind of reception an atheist would get if he/she was to preach their views in public the same way…

This happend again last night on south beach (12 and ocean drive). So I here they got beat up by a group of gay people when they started accusing them of sinning. These people should not be out judging others like if they are God. They will have to answer to their actions later in their life.

OMG that is awesome!!! I want to go there and hear them talk. That’s very interesting. I didn’t know we had those type of people here…

They probably were touring or whatever.

How come these people don’t come to FIU! Only one of these preachers came to FIU once. It was cool because everyone was debating with them. But I had to go to class so I couldn’t see it. :(

    Maybe they were scared away?
