Poor Metroblogging Miami. Half their posts are promises to cover a given topic along with a call for experts to do the actual writing, I. Ambrosia, their only writer worth reading, is posting less frequently all the time, and now this: Some twit from D.C. does a post about not knowing the difference between Ice Cube and Ice-T. They all look the same, huh Don? Thanks for dropping in and idioting up the place.

yeah, that really sucks for them. I think for something like MB to really work the local blogosphere needs to be a little more established.

people tend to want to post on their own blogs first.

Exactly. When they were trying to get MB off the ground around here, all they did was contact the few existing bloggers and try to get them on board. It’s like, ‘huh? what’re you thinking.’

They should have gotten in touch with the journalism programs of a few of the universities. But even then, the trend is really moving away from group blogs.

    Hey there,

I know! I will try to post a little more. I’ve been working on a little project of my own. Art Basel is coming up, maybe I’ll blog the event. ;-0
