There is no shortage of Heat victory celebration posts and articles around. The only one remotely worth it is Christian’s post about the impromptu parade on Washington Avenue Tuesday night (ever the generous one, he also uploaded his full 457 picture roll). I’m sure the official parade will be great. But c’mon – a celebration three days after the victory? And only for people who can take a half-day off work?
Update: Oh, and read Christian’s hilarious reflections on posting the images, a comment that’s longer then any post he’s done on fanless in months.

    And your proposal would be….?

Well, the true belivers celebrated on Tuesday (and early Wednesday morning, true?!). For the rest of us, how about 2 pm to 5 pm on, oh, hmm… SATURDAY?!

    How hard was that?

I didn’t think it would tough but I was curious.

I’m thinking that the city would be pretty much empty on the weekend and getting in and out of town for the, what I think will be hundreds of thousands of people, would be much more difficult. Not impossible, of course, but not as easy as having a lot of them in town already.

I think you’re going to find a lot of “true believers” there tomorrow, unless the definition of “true believer” only includes those who celebrate in their cars and drive up and down Miami streets honking their horns or stand outside their houses beating pots.

I tend to think that there’s a more diverse collection of “true believers” out there.
